in 2006, I began to volunteer for The Great Dickens Christmas Fair at the Cow Palace, run by Red Barn Productions. I discovered that I absolutely loved almost everything about it: The people, the costumes, the history, the acting challenge, the community, and overall atmosphere. I joined the cast of Fezziwigs, where customers are taught dancing and period parlor games. I then became a regular cast member of PEERS (The Period Event & Entertainment Recreation Society). I love getting to dress up, the excuse to learn new things about different periods of history, and the excitement of character improv. I also especially love the sense of discovery and play that is encouraged in this environment.

In 2015, I started to work at the Northern California Renaissance Faire (NCRF), as a happy member of St. Hunna's Washerwomen. (This involved sewing almost all of my costumes -- a learning experience!) I also joined the Northern chapter of The Guild of Saint George, so you can find me at a number of small faires in California put on by Renaissance Productions, as well as at Much Ado About Sebastopol (MAAS). I hope to see you there!
